Schuylkill County is ideally located with quick access to one-quarter of the entire U.S. population. Driving to cities such as Allentown, Harrisburg and Scranton can be accomplished in one hour. Baltimore, MD; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; and Washington, D.C., are only three hours away.

Located along the bustling Interstate 81 corridor, Schuylkill County is a great choice for businesses that must get their products to market quickly. Interstate 81 cuts through the county southwest to northeast, with major interchanges at mile markers 100, 107, 116, 119, 124 and 131. State Route 61 serves as the backbone of the county, connecting Ashland, Frackville, Pottsville, Schuylkill Haven and Orwigsburg. Schuylkill County is just minutes away from Interstate 78, Interstate 80 and the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
